Artfully Ever After: Impact of Opera

Seattle Opera has shared opera with over 27,000 students since the start of 2017 through it's touring opera program, Cinderella in Spain. I was commissioned to produce this video telling that story and how opera is changing lives - one student at a time. This video was designed for  both English and Spanish speaking audiences.

Seattle Opera's Capital Campaign Video

I was commissioned by the Seattle Opera to film, edit and produce this video promoting and advertising their $68 million capital campaign to build a new administrative building at Seattle Center. This video is the main advertising and promotional video for the Seattle Opera's capital campaign (called Seattle Opera at the Center).

Katya Kabanova: Director's Concept Video

I was commissioned by the Seattle Opera to film, edit and produce a video highlighting the director's concept behind their newly produced opera Katya Kabanova. This video was designed to both educate audiences as well as promote the opera and sell tickets.

Video description:

Stage Director Patrick Nolan takes you behind the scenes at McCaw Hall to discuss the importance role Nature plays in the opera's small town setting. Learn how mid-century Americana, including the films of Douglas Sirk, helped inspire our all-new production of Janáček's sweeping romantic drama.

Vintage Elegance: KATYA KABANOVA Design Details

I was commissioned by the Seattle Opera to create a video explaining the design concepts (by Production Designer Genevieve Blanchett) of their new opera Katya Kabanova.This video was designed to showcase the beautiful costumes and concepts of their new opera, promote the new opera, and sell tickets.

Video Description:

Production Designer Genevieve Blanchett discusses some of the reasons she chose to set Janáček's stormy small town drama in mid-century America and shares some of the inspirations behind her set and costume designs, including Joan Crawford's shoulders and the Sears Roebuck catalog. Includes early sketches and rehearsal photos of near-finished looks.

Seattle Opera Capital Campaign: Unlocking Opera for All

I was commissioned by the Seattle Opera to produce a 4 video series promoting and telling the story of their capital campaign project. This is the 2nd video in the series, and focuses on the education and community benefits of this capital campaign project.

Seattle Opera at the Center is our newest endeavor to provide state-of-the-art Education, Artistic, and Civic spaces to the residents and visitors of Seattle and the greater Pacific Northwest Area. Through integrated operations, new partnership opportunities, increased community-wide programs, and a broad economic impact for the region, we can do more than ever before to unlock opera for all.
